James Wilby is a British actor born on February 20, 1958 in Rangoon, Burma (now Yangon, Myanmar). He is best known for his work in film, television and theater.

Wilby graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London in 1979 and began his acting career in the theater.
